I truly like the weather the past few days. It is really sunny and hot for the season and I do feel like Spring is coming! And what is beast from gorgeous accessories in amazing colors perfect for our spring outfit (and not only)? Well I have to say that this month's featured artist is a young lady, a very talented artist that will definately create a unique jewel for you.
Sofronia from Wooden Treehouse is a young lady full of imagination! She creates beautiful earrings and jewels with leather that you are going to love! But she is multi-talented... she does not use only leather but also polymer clay (check her rings and the cute earring studs) and also she is crocheting! Just spend a few minutes for her collection and you will be surprised!

Hello! My name is Sofronia and this is my short story!
During my studies I knew I had to do something creative with my spare time so I enrolled to a metal jewelry workshop. After a while though, I realized that metalsmithing wasn't the thing for me.

In the meantime I was into black & white photography and until now I am involved in an art photography team.

Later when I moved back to Chalkida, my hometown, I came across an art school of a very talented girl and later friend of mine. There I learned new techniques and experimented with new materials such as polymer clay, papier mache, resin, leather and recycled materials. It was a unique experience not only because I found a way to express my creativity but mainly because I communicated my ideas, had discussions with people who were also interested into crafts and made valuable friends.

Another passion of mine is crocheting which is a great way to escape from every day life.

With encouragement from my friends I decided to open my Etsy shop and a whole new world started to unfold! It feels like this trip has just started and there are still lots of things to learn and discover.
